Some of these heroes fight with ranged weapons, such as bows and firearms, while others fight in close combat with swords, axes, or spears. One of the key aspects of the game is learning how to combine your units to create devastating synergies.

The combat system in Phantom of the Kill (JP) is turn-based and takes place on a grid, in the purest SRPG style. Each of your units can move a certain number of squares and carry out attacks. When you attack, you can see a detailed scene of the confrontation, similar to the one used in the Fire Emblem franchise. It's important to note that this scene, although spectacular, can become repetitive, which is why you can skip it at any time by simply tapping the screen.

The story of Phantom of the Kill (JP), which is set in a post-apocalyptic world (although at first glance it may not seem so), unfolds between fights. And this is one of its strengths. The game has lots of non-interactive scenes with anime aesthetics, in which you'll see how some of the most important events of the plot take place. The best thing is that, from time to time, you can enjoy additional parallel stories, which allow you to recruit special characters for a limited time.
